Make a plan for your structure. If you have a new property, know the weather and how it will work. There will be a lot of accumulating goat poop and pee.
Tips For a Successful Plan
- Do NOT gravel use sand in your shelters and feeders
- Elevate your shelter on one side to create drainage not inside
- French drain around the shelter to keep it dry inside
- This will avoid parasites, mastitis, and fleas
- More feeders will be better for clean up
- Create a plan on how to pick up bedding: pitchfork or tractor
- Have a plan to avoid long days of work
