How to Raise a Baby Goat Course

If you are interested in raising a baby goat, then you must learn the necessary skills to care for it during its first year. From feeding and sheltering to managing their health and safety, there are a lot of things to consider when it comes to raising a baby goat. It's important to provide them with proper nutrition, shelter, and socialization to ensure their healthy development. Additionally, you should also be aware of common health issues and how to address them promptly. By learning all of these skills, you can ensure that your baby goat grows up healthy and strong.

If you’re interested in reserving a pack goat, you can do so by making a deposit. To reserve your preferred breed or breed mix, sex, and number of pack goat kids, please fill out our form, specify your location and send the following info:

  • How many goats are you looking for?
  • Where are you located?
  • What sex of goat do you prefer?  (Buckling or Doeling?)
  • What are your breed preferences for pack goats? Please give me three choices to choose from, in order of most desired to least desired breed of goat.

Once you’ve made your deposit, we’ll get in touch with you to confirm your reservation, location, and preferences. Our partnered breeders have proven pack goat genetics. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable, as this helps us minimize the risk of people abusing our service and secure our breeder. However, if we’re unable to fulfill your order, we will refund your deposit.

The deposit of $300 per kid will reserve a kid(s), and we’ll contact you to visit Ripple Ranch in Idaho or direct you to the breeder that fulfills your preferences, with whom you can coordinate pick up and balance transaction, ideally within 45 to 60 days of birth.

All does are disease-free and tested annually. Please keep in mind that you may have to travel to pick up your goat(s).

 

We recommend visiting Ripple Ranch, where you can observe all things goats! When you visit the ranch, you have the opportunity to choose your goat(s) or have your goat(s) choose you! In addition, you’ll have a 60-90 minute personal consultation with Marc that sets you up for success! Marc teaches you how to raise baby goats, and you’ll meet his famous packers.
