Milking Schedule and Drying Up Your Doe

Schedule of milking:

In the beginning, you can pull kids at birth and milk twice a day.  It depends on your needs and goals.  How much do you need for your family?  One strategy  is to milk once a day, let the doe feed them the second part of the day.

Marc uses a lamb bar and milks does twice a day.

Transitions in Drying Up the Doe

Switch to one time a day as production has dropped off.  Milk every other day, milk to relieve the pressure.

Every goat is different.   Being patient and realizing each goat is individual.
