Head and One Foot

Presentation: Head and One Foot

When the head and only one foot are presenting, the other foot is tucked up back against the body.

What to Do:

Generally, you don’t need to go in for the other leg unless the doe looks like she is struggling. The doe should be able to deliver the kid just fine. If the doe is smaller or she is a first freshener she may not have room and struggle to deliver the kid. If so, find the other front leg and gently bring it forward and through.
