Loading for Transportation
Below are some examples of loading a goat into a trailer or a truck goat hauler. There are a few tricks that can help in the learning process.
- Load your goats in order of temperament, most timid goats first to most aggressive goat last
- Pull up on their tail to get them moving quickly
- Offer a treat (banana peel or peanuts) once they are in
- If the platform is too high, raise one of their feet to help them with the initial step up.
- If goat has it’s front hooves up on the platform, but cant quite pull themselves up, grab their horns push down and pull them in.
